Fu-Dong Shi, MD, PhD
Principle Investigator, Neuroimmunology Laboratory
Dr. Fu-Dong Shi directs the Neuroimmunology Laboratory and Flow Cytometry Core Facility at Barrow. He has been interested in mechanisms by which NK cells and NKT cells influence autoimmunity and immune therapies in neuroinflammatory disorders. Dr. Shi received a medical degree from Harbin Medical University in China in 1989 and a PhD in Experimental Neurology from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden in 1998. He completed postdoctoral research at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California. In 2004, he joined the faculty of the Division of Neurology at Barrow. He became an adjunct professor at Arizona State University in 2005.
