Gayle Kiyota, REEGT
Program Coordinator, Epilepsy Center
Ms. Kiyota serves as a patient educator and works to develop a support advocacy program for patients after epilepsy surgery. She received EEG training from Lahey Clinic in Arlington, Massachusetts. She also completed an internship at Straub Clinic and Hospital under the mentorship of Dr Michael Okihiro, neurologist. Ms. Kiyota also attended management courses in clinic operations at the University of Hawaii.
She retired from Straub Clinc and Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii, after 35 years overseeing the Neurosciences department. From 1969 to 1992 she was Neurophysiology Supervisor at Straub Clinc and Hospital where she also performed EEGs, set up EEG labs, and trained other technicians in the State of Hawaii.
