Deborah Leach, MA, CCC-SP

Speech and Language Pathologist


Deborah Leach has been a craniofacial speech pathologist since 1987. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the Arizona State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Speech Pathology from California State University, Los Angeles. 

She is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and of the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association. Since 1985 she has worked as a pediatric speech pathologist with children with chronic medical conditions and developmental delays.

As part of the Barrow Children's Cleft and Craniofacial team, Ms. Leach works with patients from birth to adulthood. She addresses feeding issues, speech and language disorders, and provides pre- and post-operative evaluations related to a patient's specific craniofacial disorder. As part of the evaluation protocol, she has extensive experience conducting nasoendoscopic assessment of patients with velopharyngeal disorders.

Ms. Leach's role on the craniofacial team is multifaceted. She particularly enjoys educating families and assisting her patients to become functional communicators.
