Alzheimer’s Support Group
This support group is for Alzheimer’s patients, caregivers, and/or loved ones. Meetings are held on the third Sunday of every month from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Huger Mercy Living Center. Lunch is provided. For more information, please call 602-406-5600.
Brain Aneurysm Support Group
If you or someone you love has been effected by an aneurysm, join us as we come together to support one another and share our stories. We encourage patients, families and friends to join us as we listen to others who have shared in our pain. Meetings take place the third Wednesday of each month in Dining Room A from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Attendees can park in the 3rd Avenue Garage, walk across the bridge, take the auxiliary elevator to the first floor and follow the signs to the cafeteria. Brain Tumor Support Group
This support group, for individuals, family members and friends, meets from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month at St. Joseph's in Conference Room 4 and 5 in the hospital’s main lobby behind the cafeteria. For more information, call 623-205-6446.
Caregivers Support Group
This support group provides information, resources and assistance for those who care for others with illnesses or disabilities. This group meets the second Monday of each month at St. Joseph's Barrow Neurological Institute in the Outpatient Rehabilitation Building, 114 W. Thomas Rd. Call 602-406-6688 for more information.
Grief Support Group
St. Joseph's hosts a grief support group every other Wednesday in the Mercy Conference Room. The group is led by a chaplain. Please call 602-406-3275 for times and dates.
Stroke Support Group
Support group for stroke survivors and their families provides information, resources and support. Meets the first Tuesday of each month from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. For more information, please call 602-406-6688.
Support for People with Head and Neck Cancer
SPOHNC chapters hold monthly meetings that offer information, support and encouragement to newly diagnosed patients, survivors, family members and friends in a friendly and non-threatening forum. Survivors discuss their situations, experiences, coping strategies and hopes. There are also educational presentations. This group meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Comprehensive Cancer Center, 500 W. Thomas Road, Suite 650 in Phoenix. Support Group for Women with Multiple Sclerosis
This support group is an educational and social program in which group members lend their support, share ideas and learn from each other. Held the last Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in Conference Room 2 at St. Joseph's. Call 480-829-6563 for more information.
Syringo & Chiari Support Group
This support group offers care, friendship, education and support by touching the lives of everyone affected by syringomyelia/chiari malformation, neuropathic pain, and related disorders. Young Adult Brain Injury Survivor Support Group
People with traumatic brain injury suffer a variety of challenges depending on the degree and extent of their injury. Dealing with TBI is challenging for both the patient and the family, but sharing your experiences with people who have had similar experiences can help. TBI support groups provide the opportunity to make friends and learn more about TBI.
Caregivers of survivors are also welcome to attend. The group separates into two sessions, survivors and caregivers to address the needs of each. Meets the second Wednesday of each month from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. conference rooms 1 and 2 at St. Joseph's.
