Terry Fife, MD
 


Dr. Fife has been on the teaching and clinical faculty at Barrow Neurological Institute since 1994 and is board certified in both internal medicine and in neurology. He graduated from Texas A&M University College of Medicine in 1986. He completed internal medicine residency training at the University of California, Davis and then trained in neurology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He then completed fellowship training in neuro-otology and balance disorders at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Fife specializes in the evaluation and management of disorders of balance and equilibrium including cerebellar ataxia, normal pressure hydrocephalus, chronic imbalance, recurrent falling, syncope, vertigo, dizziness, and nystagmus and eye movement disorders. His research interests include the diagnosis and management of normal pressure hydrocephalus, drug effects on dizziness and vertigo, quantitative testing of balance and vestibular function, treatment of positional vertigo and management of equilibrium disorders by a multi-disciplinary approach. 

He is currently chairman of the Neuro-Ophthalmology & Neuro-Otology Section of the American Academy of Neurology. He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology at University of Arizona College of Medicine, a Visiting Scientist at Mayo Clinic, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Fife has chaired numerous symposia and lectures and published articles on topics related to balance disorders.
