Jeannine Morrone-Strupinsky, PhD
Neuropsychologist
Dr. Morrone-Strupinsky earned her doctoral degree in Developmental Psychology from Cornell University in 2001. She subsequently completed a respecialization program in Clinical Psychology and a postdoctoral research fellowship in functional neuroimaging of emotion at the University of Arizona in 2003. Her predoctoral and postdoctoral training were supported by the National Institutes of Health. She completed her predoctoral psychology internship at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System in 2004 and her postdoctoral residency in Clinical Neuropsychology at the Barrow Neurological Institute in 2006. She is a licensed psychologist in the State of Arizona.
Presently, she conducts neuropsychological evaluations in the Outpatient Neuropsychology Clinic and is developing methods of psychological intervention to assist patients with Alzheimer's Disease and their families. Dr. Morrone-Strupinsky and her colleagues (Dr. Leslie Baxter and Dr. Steven Rapcsak) are conducting a functional neuroimaging study of emotional memory with the goal of early detection of the disease. They received pilot funding from the Arizona Alzheimer's Disease Core Center to support this work.
