Kevin E. Chapman, MD

Pediatric Epilepsy


Dr. Chapman is a child neurologist in the Division of Pediatric Neurology, and a clinical neurophysiologist in the Division of Neurology.

He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston before training in pediatrics and pediatric neurology at the Texas Children’s Hospital at Houston. He completed his residency in pediatric neurology at Baylor College of Medicine in 1999. Dr. Chapman completed a two-year epilepsy/clinical neurophysiology fellowship in 2001 before returning to Houston as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine.

In 2006 he and his wife, Dr. Drees, joined St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Chapman has a special interest in the surgical management of epilepsy, in addition to the ketogenic diet and vagus nerve stimulation.

Dr. Chapman is board certified in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology and Added Qualification in Clinical Neurophysiology.
