Dr. Ioan Stroescu received his undergraduate degree in psychology and biology from Columbia College in Missouri. He earned his neuropsychology doctorate at Saint Louis University and completed his internship at the Memphis VA Medical Center and Semmes-Murphey Neurologic & Spine Institute.

He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Stroescu’s clinical and research interests are in the areas of neurodegenerative dementias and medical neuropsychology, including the cognitive, behavioral, and neuroanatomical effects of posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) and other neurologic syndromes associated with systemic or complex medical conditions. He sees patients with a wide range of neurological disorders for neurocognitive consultation and assessment.
