The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center and Movement Disorders Clinic offers free online learning courses to help you and your caregiver cope with this disease. The courses aim to make learning about Parkinson's disease and effective management as engaging as possible.
At this time there is one course available: Parkinson's Disease 101. It consists of 3 modules, an introduction to the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center and an evaluation. On average, the course takes about 40 minutes to complete and provides an overview of Parkinson's disease. Some topics covered are
- dealing with diagnosis
- overview of symptoms
- introduction to treatment options
Upcoming modules will discuss medication, deep brain stimulation surgery, exercise, and nutrition.
