Endovascular Neurosurgeon

Dr. Albuquerque graduated from the University of Maryland medical school, Magna Cum Laude. He subsequently completed his neurosurgery training at the University of Southern California, where he also completed an additional year of endovascular training.

Dr. Albuquerque joined the Barrow Neurological Institute in 1999, where he completed two years of additional training in endovascular neurosurgery and cerebrovascular neurosurgery. He is one of two endovascular neurosurgeons practicing at Barrow. Dr. Albuquerque is multilingual and has been recognized as one of the outstanding young endovascular neurosurgeons in the Southwestern United States.
