Tuula Tyry, PhD, MAED

Tuula Tyry, PhD, MAED, earned her Master of Science Degree in Exercise Science at University of Jyväskylä in Finland in 1986. She worked at the UKK Institute for Health Promotion Research in Tampere, Finland until 1989, when she received a Fulbright scholarship for doctoral studies in the United States. Dr. Tyry subsequently completed her PhD in Human Performance at Oregon State University in 1993. During her 9-year career as the Director of Research and Education at a medical device company in Arizona, she earned a MA in Adult Education at the University of Phoenix. Dr. Tyry joined the NARCOMS Project as Program Manager in March 2004, and has since focused on streamlining laboratory operations and increasing the rate of publication.
