Junwei Hao, MD, PhD

Dr. Junwei Hao received his MD from Inner Mongolia Medical College and his MSc from Shanxi Medical University in China. He completed his resident training in neurology at Tianjin First Municipal Hospital, also in China. Dr. Hao conducted the research for his PhD thesis in the Neuroimmunology Laboratory at Barrow and afterward received an appointment there as a postdoctoral fellow. Areas of investigation:

• Features and applications of differentiated natural killer cells from pluripotent stem cells
• Expression of nicotinic receptors on NK cells and its implication in NK cell-dependent tumor metastasis
• Microglia activation in an Alzheimer’s disease model in transgenic mice
