Ruolan Liu, MD, PhD

Research Assistant Professor

Dr. Ruolan Liu received her MD degree from Shanghai Medical University (now an affiliate of Fudan University) and completed her resident training there. She holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Southern California, and she joined the Barrow Neuroimmunology Laboratory as a postdoctoral fellow after completing her degree 2004. She is investigating new immune elements that control the initiation and progression of autoantibody production, mostly in myasthenia gravis, and experimental autoimmune myasthenia gravis. She was supported by a career development award from the Muscular Dystrophy Association between 2006 to 2008.

In her leisure time, Dr. Liu enjoys reading, stamp collecting, and gardening.
